Finding the right stuff was a challenge! But thankfully the Internet provides a wealth of reviews, cost comparisons, and other helpful information about everything we were looking for. Here’s what was purchased with the grant funds.

- Dell Latitude D830 laptop
- Blue Snowball microphone
- pop filter (Nady MPF-6)
- Sennheiser PC 160 Pro headset with microphone
- Olympus DS-40 portable voice recorder with external microphone (Olympus ME-15)
- Sony DCR-SR300 DV camcorder (+ an NP-FH70 backup battery)
- Sony VCT D580RM tripod
- Sony ECM HW1 wireless microphone system for camcorder
- Flip video camera (60-minutes)
OWLS Staff Workstation
All of the equipment above is included in the staff workstation, but the laptop is a desktop instead (Dell Optiplex 755 Desktop FLX).

I have created a Flickr account where I have posted pictures of the equipment purchased with notes about the items. I’ll add more info there as time goes on while I gain experience with the equipment and grow opinions on what works and what doesn’t.
