Getting Started Guides

I have created blog entries called “Getting Started Guides.” The Guides provide steps and links to resources for you to use when starting projects using the grant materials.

There are also brief video demos of the ‘Casting Kit equipment available on the OWLSweb YouTube channel.

In addition to the resources listed above, look for the book Listen Up! Podcasting for Schools and Libraries by Linda W. Braun. It’s great preparation for any kind of ‘casting project.

Reserving the Equipment

  1. Check the borrowing procedures and guidelines.
  2. Use the ‘Casting Equipment Calendar to check on the availability of the equipment you’d like to use.
  3. Submit a request using our online form [secure].
  4. Your request will be approved or denied by the Library Services Manager via email or phone.

Del.icio.us Links

Selected resources on the topics of podcasting, screencasting, and vodcasting have been collected in the del.icio.us/castingkit bookmarks.

Since WordPress won’t let me paste in any tag or link rolls from del.icio.us, I’ll just add links here to the tags I have set up so far. (If any WordPress.com users have successfully pulled in a roll, please tell me how you did it in the comments!)

If you know of other resources I should include in the del.icio.us list, share them in the comments!
